Kay Howell
Executive Secretary, UF News Bureau
A 1975 graduate of the business program at Santa Fe High School, Kay Howell worked at Farm Credit Service, the Florida Bureau of Vital Statistics, Kelly Services, and First National Bank of Rantoul (Ill.), before coming to the University of Florida. She began her career at UF in 1985 working for Dr. Mary Budd Rowe in the College of Education. She has been in the News Bureau since 1991.
Her duties include disseminating news releases, tip sheets and advisories by e-mail, fax and on the Web (including the UF News Pagelet on the MyUFL Portal); updating the online guide to experts and other Web resources offered by the office. She also serves as the receptionist for the Office of University Relations.
