Media Relations
The UF Office of Media Relations and Public Affairs is responsible for advancing the university’s strategic goals among all audiences and helping elevate the image and reputation of the institution through media relations, public relations and strategic communications.
Media Relations and Public Affairs:
- Disseminates news about the university and responding to media inquiries. It is the place to send information and seek assistance in dealing with the news media. The office is the point of contact for media.
- Provides guidance, communication assistance and media support in areas of issues and crisis management and leads the communication response for the university community and media on key matters.
- Facilitates public records requests for the university in collaboration with the General Counsel’s Office.
- Serves as a media liaison for the UF Board of Trustees
