University Relations Community Relations

Events

The Office of Community Relations hosts several events that strengthen the ties to the University's external partners, and highlight the University's image and identity. These events create valuable interaction for our staff, faculty, students, elected officials, various community leaders, and other stakeholders.

University of Florida/Joint Civic Club Luncheon

The Joint Civic Club Luncheon is one of the foremost annual events in our community that celebrates the relationship that UF and the community at large have cultivated among our leaders, civic club members, and friends. During the luncheon each year, the UF President and the head football coach provide updates on University matters and offer an overview of the upcoming football season.

The 2009 luncheon will be held August 19th at the Paramount Plaza Hotel and Conference Center, 2900 SW 13th Street, Gainesville. Reservations are being received by the Community Relations Office staff currently at jcc-luncheon@ufl.edu. Please download the group reservation form and fax to: 352-392-4561.
